About Onyekachi Umah
Onyekachi Umah is an exceptional Legal Practitioner, Arbitrator, Negotiator, Notary Public and Legal Awareness Expert with over a decade experience in criminal law, civil law and human rights. He holds a Master of Laws; a Master of Business Administration and he is a doctoral candidate. He also hold a certificate in Law of Contract from Harvard University. He is an alumnus of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research, Geneva, Switzerland; the United States Institute of Peace, Washington, D.C., USA and the Tekedia Institute, Boston, USA. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK) and the “Young ICSID” of International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), Washington DC.
Mr. Umah is the Managing Partner of the law firm of Bezaleel Chambers International (BCI), where he consults and provides legal services to several national and international organisations, including the United Nations. Aside his very engaging legal practise, Mr. Umah diligently publishes free daily law tips, every day on www.LearnNigerianLaws.com since 2017. He has published over 792 legal articles in diverse areas of law, delivered over 32 public lectures, anchored over 57 law radio/tv shows and supported several legal awareness projects, for free. He runs a free mentorship training camp for lawyers and law students in Nigeria and across the sub-Saharan Africa, via the Sabi Law Mentorship Camp.
Also, Mr. Umah is the founder of several legal awareness projects and digital legal solutions platforms, including; the Sabi Law Foundation, LearnNigerianLaws.com, the Sabi Law Academy and the Lex10 Law Technologies. He is on the board of several companies and non-governmental organisations. Recently, he was featured by “ThisDay Newspaper” (a national daily), as the Legal Personality of the Week and in the succeeding month, he was also awarded the Legal Personality of the Week by “theNigeriaLawyer.com” (Nigeria’s foremost law sector blog). He has won several honours and awards for his innovative legal practise and digital legal solutions in Africa.
