The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission’s (NERC) ORDER ON UNAUTHORISED ACCESS, METER TAMPERING AND BY-PASS, 2017 (ORDER NO.:NERC/REG/41/2017, was made to reduce unauthorised access to electricity supply by tampering and meter bypass. It provides conditions for reconnecting a customer that was earlier disconnected for unuthorised connection to electricity. The Order has 6 paragraphs and tables of punitive charges.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE
Make 1-minute video of yourself stating your name, city, a right/law that you know and what it is about in pidgin or English Language. You don’t need to cite sections or cases like lawyers do. End your video with a shout out to #LearnNigerianLaws, #DailyLawTips, #SabiLaw and #SabiLawChallenge. Make it simple and fun.
#SabiLawChallenge starts on Saturday 9th June, 2018 and closes 21st July 2018. Winner will be announced by 6:00pm on Sunday 22nd July, 2018. Contest is open to all Nigerians of any age, tribe, sex, colour, height, profession and qualification.

A business name needs not to be registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) where such name only shows that the business is conducted in succession or it contains only surname of 2 or more partners with same surnames added letter “s”. For example “ONYEKACHI UMAH & SONS” and “UMAH’S”.
