In Nigerian courts, there are some information that need not to be proved rather they are assumed to facts of common knowledge . Some of such facts, include;
1. Facts that are common knowledge, generally or within the locality in which the court is sitting,
2. Facts that are capable of being verified by reference to a document, where such document cannot be questioned.

My authorities are sections 124(1), 258 and 259 of the Evidence Action, 2011.
