Procedure And Requirements For Confernment Of Senior Advocate Of Nigeria 2016

 

2) Interested applicants (advocate or academic) are required to take the following steps/ options:
i) Make payment of a non-refundable processing fee of the sum of three hundred thousand naira (N300,000) only, at any branch of zenith bank plc (Account Name: Legal Practitioners privileges Committee (SAN)), Accounts Number 1014103141). Applicants should thereafter proceed with evidence of payment to obtain the prescribed form at the office of the chief registrar, supreme court of Nigeria, Supreme court complex Abuja
ii) In the alternative, applicants may pay online and obtain the application form on the S.A.N application portal of the LPPC website. Applicants should note that obtaining of application form from the web is strictly for applicants that make payments on the SAN application portal from 12th January 2016 (visit www.lppc.gov.ng)

3) Applicants are required to submit their completed forms along with other supporting documents (bound together) for consideration by the LPPC, at the secretariat of the Legal Practitoners privileges Committee, Ground Floor, Supreme Court of Nigeria Complex Abuja on or before 31st of March 2016. Additionallly, submission after the above deadline counts as a non-submission. For further enquiries, send an electronic mail to the secretary, LPPC via enquireslppcnigeria@gmail.com

4) Additional information: Legal pratitioners privileges Committee Notice of Direction (2015)
i) The Legal Practitioners Privileges Committee at its sitting of Friday the 10th of July 2015 directed that any complaint forwarded to the committee (herein after referred to as the “LPPC”) must be accompanied with a verifying affidavit deposed to before a court of supreme Record in Nigeria

ii) Having regard to the above direction, the LPPC Further directed that no complaint shall be considered if the said directive is not complied with fully.

iii) Further still, the LPPC directed that any unsuccessful applicant who files a complaint against his or her disqualification after first and second filtration for the conferment of the award of senior Advocate of Nigeria 2016, shall appear in person at the hearing of the appeal before the independent appeals committee of the LPPC
